Shruti graduated from The College of William and Mary with an undergraduate degree in English Literature and a Masters in Secondary Education. She has been teaching 8th grade English for Fairfax County Public schools for the past few years and absolutely loves it. She is looking forward to working with students on their reading and writing skills. Shruti emphasizes positivity, empathy, and building strong connections and positive relationships with students. Besides teaching, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, tennis, knitting, traveling, and hiking with her pup. She is looking forward to sharing her passion for literature and writing with her students!
Kaye Flood

Kaye Flood is a licensed Elementary Educator turned Stay-At-Home-Mom/Tutor. She is also an avid rock climber. She is passionate about helping students learn and, more importantly, grow. She focuses on problem-solving and critical thinking in her instruction in the hopes of creating life-long learners. She knows through her experience with students that it is important to make personal connections, and the most successful instruction is based in the interests of the individuals. Education is not one-size-fits-all, and neither is her instruction or approach to teaching. She is excited to get to know you and your student on this journey of education and learning.
John Wells

John received his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Virginia Tech. He is now pursuing a Master of Science degree in computer science from Old Dominion University. Tutoring math has always been his passion, and he has been tutoring professionally since 2008. His favorite part of being an educator is watching students overcome their fears and insecurities, turning them into confidence.

You may request a particular instructor; however, I cannot guarantee that they will have availability at any given time.
Yes. For the duration of a contract, students will meet with the same educators week after week to ensure continuity.
No, each instructor is a master of their craft with their own methods, approaches, and philosophies.
An educator is endorsed based on three categories: Character, Content, and Commitment. If an educator is not a person of integrity, a master of their trade, or a passionate teacher, then I will not endorse them.
